Dear St Andrew’s Society of San Francisco and Bay Area Scots,
With a long, proud history dating back to 1863 – our Society began in a moment of both need and opportunity – born of the inspiration to band together in common cause to assist fellow Scots carving out a new life for themselves in their adopted home: San Francisco.
As the COVID-19 crisis continues to unfold, we are mindful that some of our members are in time likely to be affected by this Coronavirus. Please know that our President Irené Waldman, the Board of Trustees and our Board of Relief stand ready to assist to the best of our ability.
If you know of any fellow St Andrew’s Society members or local Bay Area Scots who might have need(s) or benefit from outreach please let us know. You may get in touch with us through our website’s Contact page or reach our Board of Relief directly:
Laurien Fiddes, Chairperson
We want you to know that we have been in communication and are well aligned with the British Benevolent Society of California (BBS).
Also, for your reference – the BBS is in close contact with the British Consulate General San Francisco, and has recently posted this COVID-19 update to its website: https://bbsofca.org/bbs-coronavirus-update.
Stay safe, be well.
